In a male-dominate industry, Coastal Cloud is proud to be female-owned.

Coastal Cloud is very proud to be a woman-owned IT consulting company. Sara Hale, a 2017 Women of Influence honoree, is an extremely driven, intelligent and charitable entrepreneur who strives to provide a work-life balance to her employees.

Coastal Cloud is comprised of 35% women, a jump from the industry’s average of 26%. The company searches out to hire the best women in the industry with many being attracted to the work-life balance and flexibility that Coastal provides. Many employees juggle their careers and family life and Coastal’s work-life balance accommodates that type of lifestyle. Financial Administrator, Amy Gribbon said “I have a big family, so flexibility is essential to keeping my family running smoothly.”

According to ComputerScience.org, between 2012-2022 the projected growth of women working in the IT industry will increase 15-20%. And Forbes.com says that, tech jobs are currently among the highest paying jobs for women but there is a major gender gap in the industry.

With such a diverse make-up of employees, Coastal Cloud is able to offer out-of-the-box solutions that other companies may not be able to provide.  Sara Hale explained that it’s important that so many key team members and company advisors are women. This offers creative solutions and approachability for clients and potential employees.

Sara is a trustees of the University of Florida Whitney Laboratory for Marine Bioscience in Marineland. Coastal Cloud has provided pro bono Salesforce consulting services to Whitney Lab’s Sea Turtle Hospital which has helped the company to grow its volunteer program.

On a pro bono basis, Sara also developed an innovative Salesforce-based community portal that links Flagler County School students and their teachers to opportunities within the business community for part-time employment and shadowing, mentoring, and internship experiences.

Sara is a member of Florida High Tech Corridor Council and an advisory-level investor in JAXUSA Partnership, a private, nonprofit division of the JAX Chamber.

Sara is a proud Blue Devil alumni who graduate with a Computer Science degree. Fun fact: her graduating degree program consisted of only five women and now, two of these female Duke alumnae work at Coastal Cloud.
